New Beginnings New House - March 2007

We only had to look once to know this was the house for us. With lots of land to expand on if necessary, and 5 bedrooms all upstairs, separate dining room, big kitchen, and a family room and living room, this was the one. Lord willing we hope to be here when our kids have children of their own.

In Memory of Mom - February 15, 2007

Deirdre lost her beloved Nana today, and I lost my Mama. Deirdre was the light of her life. We miss you dearly and we love you. My children will know who you were and what you did for your family.

Deirdre Walking - February 2007

Our baby girl took her first unassisted steps the night of her Birthday Party. We maded a video of this and sent it around to friends and family. She was very proud of herself and seemed to know she was doing something special.

She kept waiving around her birthday presents as she walked, future color guard?

And at the end of it all, she crashed on her "ginky" - walking is hard work when your stats are 100% for weight, and 50% for height....

Deirdre's 1st Birthday February 2007

We were very excited about Deirdre's 1st Birthday. We had a nice party with family at our house. I made Deirdre a homemade cake with homemade chocolate frosting and paid the ultimate price by burning my arm in the oven. I guess I now have a forever keepsake whenever I look at my arm and see the scar... Perhaps this was due to the pregnancy brain women complain of, because I was 2 months pregnant with Deirdre's sister.

As you can see, my sweet girl very much enjoyed her party, especially her cake.

I think the sugar is hitting her bloodstream here.....

If you look closely you can see the snow in the background on the bushes, we got a huge storm the day before.

Christmas 2006

For Deirdre's first Christmas we started out at Nana's house on Christmas Eve. It was a lovely dinner at mom's house followed by some pretty serious gift opening. Deirdre was all about unwrapping her gifts, and everyone elses...



It took quite a while for her to get through her stash.

Christmas Day 2006

We had a very special Christmas at our house with family. Mom and Fred came up to open presents and have dinner with us. Philip and his wife Neshma spent the night, as did Grammie Beverly. It was a nice "first Christmas" for Deirdre. Among other things she received a ride on Pooh Car from her Nana, which she very much loved, and a "Beatles" T-shirt from her parents.
